1st Year - Autumn Term

Focuses on developing the drawing and sketching skill through observation and study of light and shade.

Course Outcomes:Through this course students should be able to

  • accurately render what the student sees through a series of techniques (listed below) of increasing complexity.
  • demonstrate discipline, visual sensitivity, patience, eye-hand coordination, work ethic, and a solid vocabulary to build future course work.
  • develop the ability to think and talk about your work and ideas.
  • understand the illusion of perspective
  • compose the creative layout in nature study and still life study according to elements & principles.
  • analyze tonal variation of lines, forms, volumes etc through observation and practice.

Design and execute sequential art and illustration in the form of comic and storyboard for use in films, game and other related media.

Course Outcomes:Through this course students should be able to

  • describe the basic vocabulary of graphic storytelling
  • demonstrate an understanding of making a physical comic and developing ideas as part of the creative process
  • develop detail storyboard for use in animation series and films
  • identify and state common preproduction workflow
  • illustrate stories through words and images
  • make an animatics from scratch

This course will help to develop concept and visually represent concept/creativity by means of drawing.

Student will be able to analyze and execute projects following proper pipeline and management of time.

Communication theory is a field of information theory and mathematics that studies the technical process of information and the process of human communication.

  • establish communication by utilizing visual methodology.
  • compile communicative materials that incorporate communication theory.
  • list the process of human communication in its various contexts.

This course will put emphasis on providing a solution-based approach to solving problems through graphics design.

  • apply new approach that enhances innovation activities in terms of market impact, value creation, and speed.

Focuses on The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point size, line length, line-spacing (leading), letter-spacing (tracking), and adjusting the space within letters pairs (kerning).

  • integrate manual and software outcomes to create a new font family
  • describe the development of typography and the anatomy of text.
  • define typographic layout and how it functions as dynamic form and communicative form.

2st Year - Spring Term
