Bachelor of Fine Arts, or commonly known as BFA is one of the highly pursued degrees by students who are interested in visual and fine arts. This 4-year duration course, can be divided into 4 main specializations, i.e., BFA in Painting, BFA in Sculpture and BFA in Applied Arts. Other than this, there are other BFA courses as well like BFA in Photography.
BFA is a foundation course that provides methodological training to improve student's creative and imaginative skills, aware students about the use of different art materials, processes and the technical process involved in creating visual art.
As mentioned above, BFA provides training to the students to make them an expert in all the technical aspects involved to produce a visual art. It could be a painting, digital art, sculpture or any other form of art. Like other undergraduate degrees, BFA also consists of theory subjects and practical classes. Some classes like photography, clay modeling, sketching etc are purely practical courses as they are skill-based courses.
Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50% marks
The course shall be a full time course. The duration of the course shall be eight semesters spread over in 4 years.
